The Pet Care Services Association invites all pet care facility operators to enroll in the Voluntary Facilities Accreditation (VFA) Program as a means of upgrading their facilities, procedures and services. Facility operators displaying the Pet Care Services Association VFA blue ribbon have a competitive edge in winning new customers - and current customers will appreciate the fact that your facility is one that sets the Standards of Excellence for the entire industry.

Any business which operates as a pet care facility offering commercial pet boarding may apply for the Program.

1. Facilities that apply for enrollment in the VFA Program receive a Program Workbook and a copy of the VFA Evaluation Standards.
2. When the applicant has completed the Program Workbook, submitted all of the necessary preliminary material and has brought the pet care facility into conformance with the Program standards, an on-site evaluation by the Pet Care Services Association is requested.
3. The on-site evaluation is conducted by an individual who has been qualified and trained by the Pet Care Services Association Voluntary Facilities Accreditation (VFA) Committee.
4. When the on-site evaluation has been successfully completed and when compliance with the Program standards has been verified, a Certificate of Accreditation is issued to the applicant.
5. Every five years thereafter, accredited facilities must be re-evaluated in order to maintain accreditation.
6. The Pet Care Services Association VFA Committee is responsible for monitoring the VFA Program to ensure that it accurately reflects current advances in pet care and that it effectively promotes the welfare of boarding animals.

In making this application, I fully understand that this is an application for enrollment purposes only. In order to complete the Program, I will execute the necessary documents, submit to a facilities evaluation and supply further information as determined by the Pet Care Services Association VFA Committee. I understand that the fees outlined below are non-refundable and are based upon successful completion of the Program within the allotted time frame (request for evaluation within 6 months of initial enrollment date) at the time of the first evaluation, and that, if additional evaluations are required, fees may be increased accordingly.
